Day Trips At-Hand is owned by the worker’s co-op, At-Hand Apps, LLC. We are small but with big ambitions.
At-Hand Apps is a dual bottom-line organization with both economic and social goals. The economic mission is the creation of a family of leading life-style digital information apps which make trans-formative differences in the areas they function. The social mission is the creation of work structure for those approaching a post-corporate phase of employment or already in a post-corporate phase.
As a membership/partnership structure, At-Hand Apps has no employees, only member-partners.
Our goal is to make your smart phone brilliant at serving you. So pleasing you is our senior focus.
At-Hand Apps is a virtual organization with members physically in locations of personal preference. We have no bricks-or-mortar. We own no data-center infrastructure. Where possible, At-Hand Apps, supports open-source software and makes use of zero-cost Internet collaboration resources in delivering value.

The Day Trips At-Hand web site provides support to users of our mobile apps for discovering and exploring the cities and back roads across America. The prototype app is New England Day Trips At-Hand and covers the six states of: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
The web site is a resource for in-depth, pre-buying information about our apps. It is also the social media/social community site for sharing your day-tripping explorations and discoveries and communication with the At-Hand team about what you like and dislike about our efforts and results.
Technology:
We represent many decades of IT and software experience across nearly all previous technology and application waves. We are excited to be, once again, pushing IT boundaries. We start from a clean slate for each app as a flexible, responsive mobile function. We architect with an eye to the future with the ability to easily grow functions and usability scale. We anticipate both future device characteristics, and future markets and distribution. Our experienced, collaborative team development approach avoids the miss-steps that come of enthusiastic, but inexperience.
We implement with cutting edge tools and the latest thinking in distributed functions retaining the ability to mine the Internet on your behalf, and process the results with local and personal knowledge.
